We understand that for many parents and players, the summer is time to get away on vacation or to camp. In order to improve our “A” level teams, in 2018 we decided that any player who is going away for more than 2 weeks during the season would be ineligible to play on an “A” team. In order to cater to those who go away during the summer, but still wish to play more baseball, Dollard Baseball has begun entering teams in the Inter-Community Spring Baseball League, starting with the Mosquito and PeeWee levels.
Tryouts for these teams are open to anybody who does not play “A” baseball, but priority will be given to those who are ineligible for “A” because of time away.
Tryouts for the Inter-Community Spring Baseball League teams will take place in mid-April, if cuts are necessary, anyone not making the teams will receive a full refund.
Inter-Community Spring Baseball League teams will play a 10 game regular season, beginning around May 1st, followed by playoffs. The season ends in Mid-June. There should be very minimal, if any, conflicts between playing on a Spring League team and a “B” team simultaneously.
