What equipment does Dollard Baseball provide?
Dollard Baseball supplies baseball caps, shirts and pants to all players. Players return their shirts and pants at the end of the season. The player must provide their own glove, helmet, running shoes or rubber-spiked cleats (no metal spikes), and an athletic supporter.
My child goes to sleep-away camp. If he/she plays baseball, does that mean that my child will miss a lot of games?
In the Participation Leagues, campers who are away from the end of June to the end of July will be given a schedule that works around their camp commitment. They will not miss any games in the playoffs. Second month campers (from end of July to mid August) will also be back for the Playoffs as well.
I am thinking of becoming a coach. What do I need to do?
We are always on the search for new coaches, whether you’ve been doing it for years or if you want to try it out. All our coaches must be accredited. This means that they must attend clinics whereby a certified trainer train coaches how to teach proper baseball skills and ways to manage a team. Dollard Baseball WILL PAY THE COST OF THE CLINICS! I am thinking of being an umpire. What are the qualifications necessary to become an umpire?
All you have to do is know the basics of baseball and sign up! All our umpires will be trained with several clinics throughout the year. Whether you are an experienced or rookie umpire, there is still a lot for you to learn! Dollard Baseball has provided many useful clinics to help improve the quality of officiating in the league.
