Mosquito

Dollard Baseball has two levels of Mosquito to meet the range of skills demonstrated by our players and the amount of competitive baseball they desire. There is a third AA level run by the Lac St-Louis Tigers organization.

Mosquito baseball is when players start pitching and stealing. The rules vary slightly from level to level.

Mosquito A Expos

The Mosquito A Expos play in La Ligue de Baseball Lac St-Louis with other teams from the region like:

  • St-Lazare
  • St-Laurent
  • West Island
  • Valleyfield
  • Presqu’Ile

The Expos will play a 20 game regular season and then participate in the Lac St-Louis Regional playoffs. The team may decide to play in 1-2 tournaments to add to the number games the team will have an opportunity to play. Players can expect at least 1 practice per week.

Mosquito B

Mosquito B baseball also utilizes pitchers, but in the case of a walk, the hitting team’s coach will throw to the batter to promote more hits!

Mosquito B is recreational in nature and teams compete in the DPSL House League from Dollard, St-Laurent and Pierrefonds.

The regular season runs from late May through the middle of August followed immediately by the league play-offs, in which all teams compete.

Teams may choose to register for tournaments as well.

Mosquito AA is part of the Lac St-Louis Tigers starting in 2016.

The AA program is about developing the elite baseball players and it should be run by the dedicated AA association.  There will be 4 teams in the Mosquito AA level that will be divided based on geography and ability.
These teams will play in Ligue de Baseball inter-cite metropolitaine  with teams from Montreal, Laval, Lanaudiere (plays mainly in Repentigny or Terrebonne), and Lanaudiere (plays in St-Therese, Blainville and St. Jerome).
