In order to expand the playing options available to our members, we are gauging the interest in fielding teams in the Inter-Community Spring Baseball League. This league runs from May 1st until mid-June and has teams in Cote St. Luc, Hampstead, Montreal West, TMR, and Westmount.
In the first year of this project, we plan to field a team in the Mosquito age category. Tryouts for this team will be available to any player who does not tryout for the Mosquito A team but would like to add extra baseball to their season. (ie: Perfect for those attending camp during the summer!) Players must be registered for the regular DABA summer season in order to be eligible to sign up for this team.
As this is a new project, we must gauge the interest of our members and ensure we have enough players and coaches for this project. Therefore, we are asking for those who wish to tryout for this team should fill in the form available at http://www.dollardbaseball.com/intercommunity ASAP in order to demonstrate that there is sufficient demand to enter a team in the Inter-Community Spring Baseball League. Assuming we have a team, we will begin the tryouts in early April. We must give the league notice if we are in fact participating by the end of February so please sign up quickly if interested. Payment will not be required until the team is finalized. The cost of this program will be $185 per player.
