Below you will find some useful important information that you need to be aware of to ensure that you have a successful 2017 Baseball Season.

EARLY REGISTRATION: JANUARY 01, 2017 to MARCH 31, 2017
REGULAR REGISTRATION: APRIL 01, 2017 to April 30, 2017
Dollard Amateur Baseball Association reserves the right to close registration at any or all age categories after April 30, 2017.
NOTES: Discounts on basic fees and intercity fees are available to families of three or more. Extra Fees apply for players selected on “AA” or “A” Teams. Each team may have a separate budget for other expenses not included in the above-mentioned association fees.
REFUND POLICY: A full refund will be provided for all requests received in writing by no later than April 30, 2017. A $50 registration fee will be withheld from all written refund requests received between May 01, 2017 and May 15, 2017. No refunds will be issued for any requests received after May 15, 2017.
UNIFORMS: A mandatory uniform deposit fee will be charged at a rate of $50 for Participation league and $100 for Intercity upon receipt of your uniform. A Post-Dated Deposit Check dated September 30, 2017 will be required at time of Uniform Pick Up. No Uniforms will be given out without the Uniform Deposit Check. Cash will not be accepted for the deposit. Teams will be scheduled to come and pick up the Uniforms as a Team during the month of May.
VOLUNTEERS: Dollard Baseball is a volunteer association and we need volunteers and our member parents to help run our programs, to make the 2017 Baseball Season a successful one. If you can help out in any way, it would be appreciated. We are looking for Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Umpires, Scorekeepers and Volunteers to help out at our events. Please email email@example.com stating that you wish to coach or volunteer within our association.
WINTER BASEBALL CLINIC: This year’s Baseball Winter Clinic will run from January 21 through April 8 every Saturday. This year the Winter program will be run by an experience professional trainer. Sessions will be held every Saturday at Ecole Dollard-des-Ormeaux, beginning January 21st, for children born between 2004-2009 (Atom-PeeWee age). Participants in the Mosquito and PeeWee sessions are invited to stay for an extra pitching clinic each week, included free of charge in the price of the Winter Clinic Registration. We focus on the fundamentals of the game – throwing, catching, batting and agility. The pitching clinics will be geared towards the foundation of pitching – a proper throwing motion, balance and using the entire body to generate power. SPRING TRAINING EVALUATION SCHEDULE – “A” & “B” LEVEL PLAYERS: As a start of a successful baseball season, we encourage all “A” and “B” level players to attend our spring training sessions. Please consult this Website and Facebook regularly as dates and location are subject to change.
ABSENTEES: Participation is the key to a players successful baseball season, and we know that players may be absent during the summer. If you know that you (Player), or your child (Player) will be absent during the summer for 2 or more weeks, please indicate it on the online registration form and advise your coach as soon as possible, at the beginning of the season, so your coach may make other arrangements for call-up players.
BASEBALL HELMETS: Baseball Helmets are mandatory for all levels and all players in Dollard Baseball and are not supplied by the association. Dollard Baseball will be selling Baseball Helmets at a cost of $25 each. If you wish to purchase a Baseball Helmet from Dollard Baseball, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to order your Baseball Helmet. Upon your confirmed order, you will receive your Baseball Helmet when you pick up your uniform.
DOLARD BASEBALL APPAREL: Dollard Baseball will be selling this year Dollard Baseball Apparel. We have sweatshirts, t-shirts and other items for sale. Show your support for our association by wearing Dollard Baseball Apparel at home and away games. Keep an eye on our Website and Facebook for a list of current and upcoming apparel available.
PHOTO CONSENT: Throughout the season photo’s are taken by our Communications Team to be featured on our Website, Facebook page, Instagram feed and/or the associations marketing materials to promote Amateur Baseball in Dollard des Ormeaux. By registering on the Dollard Baseball’s Portal you will be given the opportunity to consent to allow our association to use your child’s photo. Please note that Dollard Baseball will not be responsible for photos taken or uploaded by other parents. Photo’s that are posted online or to be used for marketing material will not include the child’s name.
AGREEMENT: You, the parent or guardian of registered minors, OR you (for adults): hereby give your approval by registering online through the Dollard Baseball Portal, to the registrant’s participation in the Dollard Amateur Baseball Association league and activities. You agree that players will be assigned to teams at the discretion of Dollard Baseball and will assume all risks to the registrant including transportation to and from the activities, whether on or off the baseball fields. By the completion and acceptance of the registration form, you do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Dollard Amateur Baseball Association and all its volunteers, officials and affiliates for claims arising out of an injury to the registrant, whether the result of negligence or for any other cause.
