The Region will soon be holding the 9th edition of its annual winter baseball camp for girls (Atom to Midget). This is when our season really begins, as girls come out of winter to meet their baseball friends and start playing again. As usual, we’ll focus on one particular theme at each session and play a friendly game (older girls together, and likewise for younger ones). New this year: we’ll be using the new St. Laurent sports complex twice! There will be more space, and the artificial turf will give us a better baseball feel than the gym floor.
We did need to introduce a small fee this year, in part to cover rental costs. We are asking for a single payment of $20 covering all four sessions, in cash or by check (to Baseball Region LSL), to be handed in at your first visit. All excess sums will contribute exclusively to the annual regional girls baseball program.
As usual, please register ASAP by emailing Eric Laferrière, Girls Baseball Regional Rep, LSL and specifying which sessions you will be attending. There is limited space. See schedule below.
You have a friend living in LSL and wishing to try out baseball for the first time? Bring her over! Divisions are as follows: Atom (2010-2011), Mosquito (2008-2009), Pee Wee (2006-2007), Bantam (2003-2005), Midget (1998-2002).
The camp is always a lot of fun, and there will be many volunteer coaches available to help out. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned veteran, you’ll enjoy it!
